Code of Practice for Turret Clock Work

The first edition of the Code of Practice for Turret Clock Work came into effect on 19th May 2018 after wide consultation with those concerned with the repair and conservation of turret clocks in the United Kingdom.For technical reasons it may occasionally be necessary to slightly deviate from the Code of Practice in the best interests of the clock. In that case a confidential second opinion should be obtained from the Turret Clock Advisory Panel who will give guidance. As this Contact List of Turret Clock Restorers appears on the Clocks Advisers Forum website which hosts the Code of Practice it only contains those individuals or companies who have stated that: “All our work on turret clocks complies with the Code of Practice for Turret Clock Work issued by the Clocks Advisers Forum in collaboration with turret clock restorers and the Church buildings Council.”
